IMS Mathcounts Team Finishes Tied For First at Mathcounts Seattle Chapter Competition
Mercer Island, WA, February 3, 2025 – The Islander Middle School Mathcounts team of Kyle Liao, Charlotte Westover, Raahi Dalal, and Jayden Sun tied with Lakeside for first place at the Mathcounts Seattle Chapter Competition Saturday in Seattle.
Two team members also finished in the top 10 individually, with Kyle taking first place, and Charlotte in ninth.
The team members all qualified for the state Mathcounts competition in March.
Additionally, Lilian Wu and Lawrence Chen from IMS qualified for the state competition based on their individual performance.
The IMS team is coached by Ying Liao.
